“Preparing Content…” Stuck When Importing a Block

If you’re trying to add a block from the Design Library (Block Collection) and the message “Preparing Content…” keeps spinning without loading, it’s usually caused by a server or firewall configuration issue on your hosting setup.

Why This Happens

This issue can occur when your host’s firewall or CDN (Content Delivery Network) blocks your website from connecting to the Kadence Design Library server, which is where all the block content is stored. We’ve seen this happen across several hosting providers, and it’s often linked to strict security rules or caching layers.

How to Fix It

1. Check Your Security Plugins: Temporarily deactivate any security plugins you have installed, such as WordFence, Sucuri, or All-in-One Security. Then, clear your cache and try accessing the Design Library again.
2. Check Your Hosting Firewall or CDN: If the issue continues, contact your hosting provider and ask them to temporarily disable any firewall, CDN, or blocking rules that may be preventing your site from communicating with Kadence servers.
3. Verify Server Resources: While you’re in touch with your host, it’s also worth asking them to ensure your site meets the Kadence recommended server settings (such as memory limits, PHP versions, and REST API access).
