Installing Kadence Plugins

Estimated reading: 2 minutes 69 views

As with any plugin to be installed, Kadence is very much the same. If you are using Kadence, then their plugins must be installed so that your website can function optimally.

Kadence plugins enhance the default WordPress block editor (Gutenberg) by adding additional blocks and features, including advanced heading, row layout, tabs, accordions, and more. If you’re using the free version, some features will be limited.

Installing Via Plugin Directory

Uploading Kadence plugins using the directory means these plugins are free, so they will not require a license.

  1. Go to Plugins > Add New.
  2. Locate the search bar to search for specific Kadence plugins you need to install.
  3. Click Install Now next to the plugin you need.
  4. After installation, click Activate.

Installing Manually

For premium plugins like Kadence Pro, you need to download the plugin from the Kadence website. Pro plugins will need a License Key to activate them.

  1. Go to the Kadence website and log in.
  2. Download the plugin (usually a .zip file).
  3. Go to your WordPress Dashboard and navigate to Plugins > Add New.
  4. Click Upload Plugin at the top.
  5. Choose the downloaded .zip file and click Install Now.
  6. After installation, click Activate.
  7. Add your License Key in Appearance > Kadence.
  8. For Kadence Pro, you will need to activate some Addon Pro features on your Kadence dashboard. Navigate to Appearance > Kadence to enable/disable specific blocks.
