Setting Up Your Logo In Kadence

Estimated reading: 3 minutes 76 views

Adding a logo in Kadence is a straightforward process. Whether an image logo is better than a site title depends on several factors, including your brand identity, design preferences, and the goals of your website. Creating an image logo takes time and patience, but it is worth it in the end because you can also add it to all your social media. A consistent logo image across all platforms is what will make you stand out.

A little advice we suggest is to keep your logo image simple; it’s more attractive these days and less complicated for the eye. And just in case you’re not convinced, here’s how you can do an Image and a Site Title:

Image Logo Option

  1. Access the WordPress Dashboard: Log in to your WordPress website, then navigate to the WordPress Dashboard.
  2. Open the Customizer: From the dashboard, go to Appearance > Customize; this will open the WordPress Customizer, where you can make changes to your theme.
  3. Navigate to the Header Section: In the Customizer, look for the Header section. Click on it to expand the options related to your site’s header.
  4. Add or Change the Logo: Find the Logo option within the Header section and click on it.
  5. Upload or Select Your Logo: Click the Select Logo button. You can either upload a new logo from your computer or select one from your media library. Once you’ve selected your logo, you’ll have the option to crop it. If you’re happy with the image, click on the Skip Cropping button (or crop if needed).
  6. Adjust the Logo Size (optional): After adding the logo, you can adjust its size using the Logo Width slider or enter a custom size value. Depending on the header layout you’re using, you can also tweak other settings, such as alignment or padding.
  7. Publish the Changes: Once you’re satisfied with how the logo looks, click on the Publish button at the top of the Customizer to save your changes.
  8. Adjust the Logo for Different Devices: Kadence allows you to customize the logo size for different devices (desktop, tablet, mobile). Make sure to switch between views in the Customizer and adjust the logo size accordingly for each device.

That’s it! Your logo should now be displayed on your Kadence theme website.

NOTE: It is good practice to perfect your logo on your PC rather than have to adjust it on your website.

Site Title & Tagline Option

This option is used in some of our themes, here are some simple steps to get started:

Setting Up Your Logo 1
  1. Go to your WordPress Dashboard > Appearance > Customize.
  2. Click on the Header tab, then select Logo & Title.
  3. Type your desired site title into the Site Title field. You can add a tagline (optional) to the Tagline field.
  4. Click Design on the Customizer’s top right to select your font, size, and color.

To design a logo, we suggest using Canva or Create Vista.

NOTE: If some of these options are unavailable, you most likely do not have the Kadence Pro installed.
